Sarah Cook
food writer & stylist

I'm a freelance food writer, food stylist and home economist with more than 15 years’ experience in the industry.

It all began when I won a six-month internship at BBC Good Food Magazine after taking a course at Leith's School of Food and Wine - four years later, I became the magazine's Food Editor, and around the same time, created the Food Styling course back at Leith’s, which I taught for five years.

Since then, I've worked as a recipe developer and food stylist for numerous brands, publications and cookbooks. I reckon I have pretty much the best job in the world. Every day I get to be creative with food, try great recipes, explore wonderful produce and work with lots of different, but equally passionate people.

When I'm not in the kitchen (which is rare), I love to be in other people’s kitchens, well, specifically restaurants, cafes and bakeries exploring new food trends, and trying to cultivate my kitchen garden now we’ve moved to the countryside.
